I put my pants on every day, but that day was different. My normal 38 inch waist pants didn't fit anymore. I tried to convince myself that they must of shrunk in the wash, but I knew it wasn't true. I sucked in my gut and buttoned them with a bit of effort. I knew I had to buy larger pants, but I really didn't want to.

I checked in the mirror. It looked bad. My "big" pants were now tight and I needed to do something. I started a diet that day - I ate two tiny meals and starved myself. The next morning my pants fit a little better. At least until I couldn't stand it anymore, pigged out at lunch, and started the whole process over the next morning.

Well, I wasn't about to buy larger pants. After another morning like that I snapped! I had had enough! I decided to do it right this time. I've been on enough diets to know what's good for you and what's not, so I started researching the best and easiest way to lose weight and keep it off.

I don't have great will power, and I love to eat. I knew I needed something simple to do but would let me eat the things I like. I spent the first few weeks researching and planning instead of immeadiatly trying to starve myself. I knew that way didn't work, and I needed something that would.

Every time a "heavy" person says they're going on a diet, skinny people laugh. You and I both know they do. They think, "Yeah, sure you are. I'll believe it when I see it." And this time was no different. I told my wife, a few friends, and several co-workers that I was going to lose fifty pounds. The reaction was typical - "Good Luck" they'd say, but you could hear the subtle sarcasm, even if it was subconscious. Well, I knew I would prove them wrong.

After weeks of constant research, I came to the fundamental truth of weight loss. I was shocked at how simple it really is! I eliminated all the fads and useless tricks that don't work in the long run. After losing 20 pounds, most people commented that I looked like I was losing weight. By the time I'd lost 40 pounds, family, friends, and co-workers were asking me how I did it!
