I hate diets. You hate diets. Every "big" person I know hates diets. So, why does everyone hate diets? The answer is simple: because diets don't work!

Diets don't work because they are a temporary solution to a permanent problem. While you're "on" a diet, you lose weight. As soon as you stop the diet, you put the weight right back on - plus some extra for good measure. You didn't change anything permanent, so why should the changes be permanent? You're fooling yourself if you expect different results. What I've worked out is not a traditional diet. It's a way to reach and stay at your goal weight.

I don't have great will power, and I love to eat. I knew I needed something simple to do but would let me eat the things I like. I spent the first few weeks researching and planning instead of immeadiatly trying to starve myself. I knew that way didn't work, and I needed something that would.
